Architect’s House

Architect’s House is an elegant, traditional, stone built house tucked away in the quaint village of Spanochori, yet only minutes away from bustling Lefkas Town. Built, over 150 years ago by the grandfather of the current owner, it has withstood the test of time with the main stonework still in place. The owner, Thomas, has restored and renovated the house beautifully and it is now a very comfortable and stylish property. Architect’s House is perfect for families or couples who are looking for a truly peaceful and relaxing holiday. This area is truly great for walking with a number of trails for relaxing walks or more challenging hikes.

The owner comes from a local family of Civil Engineers and Home Designers with a flair for style and design. This family home has been renovated to the highest standards while keeping comfort and traditional Greek island design in mind. The house itself is located at the top of the village and has gorgeous views across the valley and the lovely hills of Lefkas.

Upon your arrival we will have a generous welcome hamper so there’s no need to worry about going out shopping when you arrive – just immediately unwind and relax in the beautiful surroundings. Your Welcome Hamper includes fresh fruit, fresh salad items, locally baked bread, cheese, ham, cakes and biscuits, orange juice, soft drinks, wine and water.

Architect’s House was originally built by the family’s grandfather and has been renovated with loving care in his memory. It has been carefully designed as a spacious and comfortable holiday home leaving guests feeling refreshed by its bright and airy design. Walk through the private stone paved courtyard to the main entrance and straight into the very spacious open plan kitchen/dining area and lounge. With space for all your guests around the large dining table and the huge comfy sofas set around the fireplace it is the perfect place to gather. The modern kitchen leads directly off the dining area and is fully equipped with everything a comfortable home needs. The Double Bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, is also located on the ground floor and has its own access to the courtyard and garden with built BBQ. The wooden staircase makes an interesting feature to the ground floor and leads to three more bedrooms on the upper floor. All the bedrooms on the upper floor can be made up as doubles on twins and they all have en-suite bathrooms. Of the three upper bedrooms, one has a balcony overlooking the village and the other two lead straight out to the swimming pool and patio/terrace area.

The private swimming pool is perfect for cooling off when you don’t want to go out to the beach. Guests can spend long lazy afternoons lying in the sun, enjoying a refreshing drink and taking in the gorgeous view over the village.

There is a public car park within a couple of minute’s walk of Architect’s House.
